University of Limerick An Oral History, 1972 – 2022
Ahead of the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the University of Limerick I was commissioned by UL to write a history of the campus. As an alumni of the university I felt enormously privileged to be tasked with writing the history of UL as told by those who worked and studied on campus over its fifty-year history. The book uses the oral history testimonies gathered over a ten-year period to tell the story of NIHE/UL & NCPE/Thomond College. A link to the project can be found below.

Richard Devane SJ Social Commentator and Advocate, 1876 – 1951 (Messenger Publications, 2019)
This is the first biography of Richard Devane SJ who people today would consider somewhat of a controversial figure. A native of Limerick, he called on the Irish people to abandon modernity in favour of a Christian way of life. His main opposition was to immoral literature, cinema and dancehalls. He believed that Irish youth should be doing more to help protect the hard-won battle for independence from Britain. The biography seeks to explain his opposition to modernity in the context of events occurring at home and abroad in the decades that followed the formation of the Irish Free State in 1922.
